Capture customer input accurately_

An essential field for everyday calculations

A number question is simply a field in which a number can be entered. Either through a range slider, an increment field, or typing into a text field. Use it on your forms for your customers to input a number. For example, how many of a product they would like to order, or how many tickets they would like to purchase. This number can then be used in your calculations to calculate the total price - and in a variety of formulas and values. This can be done by selecting the 'number field' as a variable in your formula. For example, if you have a 'number field' that asks for the quantity of a product, you can multiply this field by the cost of the product to calculate the total cost. That is a simple example to convey the basic idea. ConvertCalculator allows you to perform complex calculations, offering flexibility in how you use the 'number field' data.

What kind of Number and Quantity fields are there?

A number question can be presented to your customers as a Range slider, number input field, or increment field. Here is an explanation of each of these:

Range sliders

A range slider is an interactive sliding bar that lets your customers choose a specific value from a set of predefined values.

A range slider allows you to confine the input number within certain values of your choosing.

For example, if you offer a product for which your maximum order is 5, your slider bar would be from 1 to 5.

Number input fields

A number input field is simply a field for entering a number. Customers type the desired number into the field. You can then use this input number in calculations if needed.

For example, the customer may enter the weight of their parcel as a number in the field. This number will then be used to calculate the cost of delivery.

Number increment fields

This field is set up so customers toggle the + and - buttons to arrive at the chosen number.

It can be used for product purchase to choose the amount of products, booking tickets and basically any function where a number is needed as an input.

Max and min settings can be applied here also.

How can I customize my numbers question?

When setting up a numbers field in ConvertCalculator, you can customize it to be exactly how you need it. Here are the options:

    • Incrementer: Change the number by pressing on '-' or '+'.

  • You can also Set up:

    • Minimum: The lowest number that can be used.

    • Maximum: The highest number that can be used.

    • Default: Add a default number that can be changed by customers.

    • Step: How many numbers do you want to increase and decrease?

    • Prefix: Symbol, number, or character you want to appear before the number selected. (e.g. $)

    • Postfix: Symbol, number, words, or character you want to appear after the number selected. (e.g., per month)

    • Set as a required question if needed.

    • Use Show/Hide Logic to show or hide the question under certain circumstances.
